Azra Hadžić is a current affairs producer and presenter at Al Jazeera Balkans. Studied journalism, and did a master’s degree in communication science. Before joining Al Jazeera Balkans in 2012, throughout her 20 years in the journalism field, Azra worked in multiple media - in newspaper, production house, and television. She was the first journalist in the current affairs editorial office on the show “Kontekst” (Inside Story). She also prepared and hosted the show “Recite Aljazeeri” (Talk to Al Jazeera), “Oni pobjeđuju” (They win) and “Al Jazeera Svijet” (Aljazeera World).
Azra produced several documentaries, such as “Hair for a Smile” about collecting hair and making wigs for children with cancer, “Vera Schneider - BH Marrie Currie” about the first woman mathematician in the former Yugoslavia, and many more.
Azra won a medical reporting award for a show on the impact of the pandemic on the treatment of cancer patients in the Western Balkans region.
