معلومات
The conference examined the impact of the WWI on Palestine with special interests on the role of the Ottoman Empire and the Zionist Movement. It examined the political position of the Palestinians and the Arabs in general following the Sykes-Picot Agreement. It also discussed in-depth the British Mandate and the San Remo Conference. The conference also discussed the emergence of a national Palestinian movement in the 1930s. Last but not least, the conference addressed the effects of the laissez faire attitude of the international community towards Israel after the end of the WWII. Many believe it was this attitude that galvanised the Zionist movement and its subsequent impunity towards Palestine.
