‘The Lobby’, a four-part series produced by Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit about an Israeli campaign to interfere with domestic politics in the U.K. has won a CINE Golden Eagle Award in Washington D.C

Al Jazeera English Channel has been named as one of the recipients of the 77th annual Peabody awards for its documentary ‘The Cut’, which explores the dangerous and painful practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) in many countries around the world.

Mahmud Hossain Opu, a photojournalist in Bangladesh, won one of the most prestigious awards in South Asia for his coverage of the plight of the Rohingya. Mahmud won the BRAC Migration Media Award in Dhaka on Wednesday, 18 April. BRAC (Building Resources Across Communities) one of the biggest NGO in the world.

Al Jazeera was awarded the Gold Medal for the ‘Demand Press Freedom Campaign’. The Medal was awarded by the New York International Television & Film Awards under the category of ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’, which took place during a Gala dinner ceremony attended by some of the top international media and broadcasters held in Las Vegas on April 10, 2018

Al Jazeera English was named “Broadcaster of the Year” for the second year running at the 2018 New York Festivals International Television & Film Gala that took place in Las Vegas on April 10th, 2018. This award is considered the most prestigious by the organizers. Overall, Al Jazeera Media Network was honored with more than 40 prizes

Al Jazeera was named one of the Most Viewed Media Companies for the second year in a row by Tubular Labs, a company that tracks all video content cross-platform, all-device, globally. Al Jazeera was ranked 30th, out of 10 million content creators and over 40,000 media and entertainment publishers globally tracked in 2017.

Al Jazeera Media Network has been awarded the UN Women for Peace Association "Awareness Award" for its focus on critical women's issues in the media network’s programmes and news output, including the role its documentaries have had in promoting understanding and awareness of the plight of women and girls around the world.

Al Jazeera Media Network has obtained the ISO-9001:2015 certification for its Human Resources and Administration Division’s quality management system. The certification was granted upon meeting requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

Our AJA colleague Tarek Al Abyad, Producer at AJA newsroom, was awarded the “Best TV coverage on Kyrgyzstan” in 2017, for his documentary series “Kyrgyzstan the Wonderland”, which he produced and directed when he was in a mission to Kyrgyzstan to cover the World Nomadic Games. The series was aired on Al Jazeera Arabic channel in April 2017.

Al Jazeera’s Rosiland Jordan and Azad Essa won the Ricardo Ortega Memorial Prize and International Prize at the UN Correspondents Association (UNCA) Global Prize, during UNCA’s Awards Gala on Friday December 15, 2017 in New York.

101 East, which is Al Jazeera’s weekly Asian current affairs programme, won the best Politics and Business category award for "Duterte: A President’s Report Card", while "Voyage to Antarctica" won the award for the Best Interactive Category.

Al Jazeera Documentary Channel’s "A Memory in Khaki" won the Best Direction Award for long documentaries at the Malmo Arab Film Festival held in Sweden between October 7 - 9, 2017. The film was directed by Alfoz Tanjour. The film was also awarded Best Documentary Film in Bamaghata Film Festival in Japan on October 12.

An episode of the series “Refugee Mothers”, produced by Al Jazeera Documentary Channel, has won the Community Awareness Award in the International Madrid Film Festival in Madrid.

Al Jazeera Balkans journalist Sanel Kajan won the special journalism award "Srđan Aleksić", which was established in 2010 by a non-governmental organization. It awards professional reporting on marginalised and vulnerable groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
