The film addresses hand-drawn movie posters in India; an art that appeared at the end of the 19thcentury. It reached its golden age till the nineties, but gradually began to lose its status with the advent of photographic posters and the advancement of image processing programs. Today, there is very few of those painters who paint hand-drawn movie posters. In this documentary, we will explore “the last poster painters”.
