Al Jazeera English now available in Colombia

As part of its commitment to hearing the human story, Al Jazeera is delightedto announce that it will now be distributed in Colombia via Claro TV, which isthe largest Pay TV operator in Colombia, on Channel 480.  

“This marks another key signpost for Al Jazeera as we continue in our expansion plans to make our content more accessible across the globe.  This is an important market for us and we are extremely excited to be airing in Colombia,” said Abdulla AlNajjar, Al Jazeera’s Executive Director of Marketing & Distribution.

Through its multiple channels, Al Jazeera is broadcasted to over 310 million unique households in over 150 countries worldwide and is located in 82 bureaus around the world. Al Jazeera English, in specific, is broadcasted to over 270 million unique households in over 140 countries worldwide and has over 460 editorial staff globally. 

Claro Colombia is part of the leading telecom operator in Latin America, America Movil, and it is the preferred telecommunications operator throughout the country thanks to the widest coverage it offers in services such as TV, mobile telecommunications and broadband.
