Meriem Ouchait Belalia is news presenter at Al Jazeera who obtained a bachelor's degree from the School of Media and Communication at the University of Algiers with a focus in audiovisuals. She previously worked at the People's Newspaper before joining Algerian television, then moved to Kuwait to work in Rai TV, and from there to Istanbul at the Turkish Arab channel as a presenter of news and political programmes.
Meriem joined Al Jazeera Channel in 2010 and has been involved in numerous coverage of a big events, including field coverage from Yemen, Syria, Turkey, Sudan, Thailand, Mauritania, and Libya.
