Salma Aljamal is a principal news and programme presenter at Al Jazeera Channel (Arabic). She began her journey presenting news from radio and television in Syria in 2004, then moved to Russia Today Channel in 2007. She joined Al Jazeera in July 2012 and covered several events from the studio, including revolutions in Egypt, Syria, Libya, and Yemen, the 2016 coup attempt in Turkey, and the 2017 blockade of Qatar.
Salma has also participated in field coverage including the 2014 European refugee waves, the 2016 war on the Islamic State, and the 2019 Tunisian elections.
