Al Jazeera wins three Promax Global Excellence Awards
Al Jazeera Media Network has won three Promax Global Excellence Awards, two golds and one bronze, in the Informational Graphics and Interstitial Campaigns categories; surpassing a large number of prestigious media organizations including CNN, National Geographic and others.
A Promax Global Gold Award was awarded for an informational graphics report on the mechanism of transmission of the coronavirus from bats to humans, presented by the colleague Mahmoud Alken of Al Jazeera Arabic channel, and supervised by a creative team led by colleague Anthony Alcazar.
The interstitial promos for the new visual brand of Al Jazeera English won another gold award in the category of Promotional Campaigns. Whereas, another VR video about coronavirus won a bronze award.
Ramzan Alnoimi, Director of Network Creative Directorate, said: “This victory is a testament that Al Jazeera's leadership is a result of a combination of journalistic content, news coverage and our visual product, which has surpassed a number of leading media organizations and stations.
This awarding of the Promax Global Awards is a tribute to the efforts and outstanding work of colleagues in the Directorate of Network Creative in collaboration with Al Jazeera News channel and Al Jazeera English."
Asef Hamidi, Director of News for Al Jazeera Arabic Channel praised this wining, and said: “Al Jazeera confirms once again that its competitors are not in this region, but it competes with major media organizations around the world”.
