Al Jazeera wins two MarCom Awards

The Al Jazeera Media Network's Creative Directorate has won platinum and gold awards from the MarCom Awards, as well as a certificate of appreciation from the jury.

Al Jazeera won the MarCom Platinum Award for a news report prepared by the creative team on the U.S. aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, in which it used virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, and the production of the report is part of al Jazeera Media Network's plan to develop creative presentation and storytelling.

Al Jazeera won the MarCom Gold Award in the Promotional category for a short promo for the “Al Jazeera Arabic Podcast”, which was launched by the network this year. Al Jazeera received a honorable mention in the Special Events category for the Al Jazeera Forum promotional campaign.

Director of Network's Creative, Ramzan Alnoimi said, "We are proud of this achievement, which was achieved after competing with a large number of advertising agencies and specialized companies seeking this prestigious award. This win is a new testament to the excellence of our creative work, in which we have used the latest design and graphics technologies that establish meaningful visual media content."

MarCom Awards honors excellence in marketing and communication while recognizing the creativity, hard work and generosity of industry professionals.

Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has evolved into one of the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world. Each year about 6,000 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries.

MarCom is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization, founded in 1995.
