Abdelkader Aiad started his media career on Algerian radio in 1995, then moved to Algerian television in 1997 as a broadcaster for major broadcasts. He joined Al Jazeera in January 2001 and is currently a presenter of the programmes "Between the Lines", "More than One Opinion", "Sharia and Life", "Without Borders", "Ain Al Jazeera" and others.
He has co-covered important events including the Iraq War as a reporter and broadcaster in 2004, has completed reports and coverage of the siege of Fallujah, uncovered in a global scoop the Niger Famine of 2005, and completed a series of distinctive Hajj reports. He spoke to prominent figures in the world, including Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, shortly after the failed coup attempt.
