Ahmed Mansour is an Egyptian journalist and media personality. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mansoura in 1984.
Between 1987 and 1990, during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, he covered the Afghan war for a number of Arab newspapers and magazines and published four books on the subject. He later served as Managing Editor of Al-Mujtama magazine in Kuwait from 1990 until 1997, before joining Al Jazeera in that same year.
He initially produced and presented the Arabic programme Sharia and Life and was among the contributors to the production and presentation of Today's Interview.
He later went on to present the programmes Without Borders and Witness to an Era. He also covered the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the US occupation of Iraq.
To date, Ahmed has published more than twenty books.
