Ali Al Dafiri is a journalist and presenter, born on October 19, 1975, in Kuwait. He graduated from Kuwait University in 1997 at the Faculty of Education with a specialisation in Educational Psychology and joined Al Jazeera in 2004.
He worked as a news presenter at the beginning of his career, participated in a number of field news coverage in the 2006 Lebanon War, the 2008 U.S. elections, covered the Kuwaiti elections in 2006, 2007, and 2008, in addition to covering a number of Gulf and Arab summits.
In 2009, he left the newsroom and devoted himself to presenting his famous Arabic programme (In Depth), which specialised in current intellectual and political issues. Through the programme, he met the most prominent political, cultural, and intellectual figures in the Arab world.
At the end of 2016, he stopped his programme and launched the programme (Interview with Ali Al Dafiri), where he presents an elite group of leaders and prominent figures in the Arab and Islamic worlds and continues to present the programme on a weekly basis.
