Khadija Benganna is an Algerian journalist, graduated from the School of Journalism at the University of Algiers in 1988, and trained as a journalist at the CFJ Institute in Paris in 1989.
She joined Al Jazeera in 1996 as a news and programmes presenter having many programmes, including "Only for Women", "Sharia and Life" and "Behind the News".
Before joining Al Jazeera at its inception, Khadija worked as an editor and news presenter at Swiss Radio in Bern, and as a lead news presenter at Algerian television.
In 2006, Khadija was named one of the "Ten Most Influential Women in the Arab World" by Forbes magazine. In 2015, Khadija was awarded by the CNN the title of Inspirational Arab Journalist in their magazine “Arabian Business” among 100 Arab persons who have had influence and inspiration in the years 2012 and 2013.
