Al Jazeera Media Network has been named “TV Network of the Year” at the prestigious Cannes Corporate Media and TV awards, in which it received multiple awards in several categories, recognising its commitment to impactful, compelling storytelling and Investigative journalism.

Al Jazeera English secured two Gold awards for "Fault Lines: Children of The Darien Gap" and the Investigative Unit’s documentary on Gaza. The channel also received a Silver award for "Witness: Fire Beneath Her." Additionally, the Investigative Unit earned further recognition for its films "October 7" and "Gaza," with the latter awarded the prestigious Grand Prix for Best Documentary 2025.

Al Jazeera (Arabic) Channel was also recognised with a Gold award in the Current Affairs category for “Gaza: Doctrine of Genocide.” Furthermore, the channel received two Silver awards: one for “Gaza: In Search for Life” in the Documentary and Investigative Reports category, and another for “What Do You Know About Sednaya?” in the Human Concerns and Social Issues category.

The prestigious recognition comes at a particularly poignant moment for Al Jazeera, whose teams especially those in Gaza have continued to shed light on the horrors of genocide with integrity and bravery despite the constant targeting, intimidation, and threats on their lives.

Sheikh Nasser Bin Faisal Al Thani, Director General of Al Jazeera Media Network stated in a comment on the recognition: "Winning TV Network of the Year at Cannes is not just an honour; it is a testament to the power of courageous journalism and our unwavering commitment to in-depth coverage and the upholding of journalistic values and ethics while reporting global stories. It is a tribute to our journalists, especially those working under the most dangerous conditions, driving us to continue our independent media profession to convey the truth, despite the challenges"

Al Jazeera continues to strive to provide audiences worldwide with factual, insightful coverage from regions where press freedom is restricted and most at risk.
