On Sunday, 1 November 2026, Al Jazeera Media Network will launch a new ecosystem of news channels under the slogan “Now. Meaning. Humanity.” The launch forms part of a strategic transformation in response to rapid changes in how audiences consume news and media. It will give viewers a comprehensive perspective built on three pillars: speed and keeping pace with events (Now), depth and analysis (Meaning), and the human dimension (Humanity).

The new ecosystem brings together three channels, each offering a distinct news experience. Al Jazeera Now, the first, focuses on continuous coverage of major developing stories and escalating situations, following events live as they unfold without being tied to scheduled bulletins or fixed news slots. Its field reports place developments in their immediate context. Dedicated analytical and strategic segments, featuring experts, examine the military, geopolitical and humanitarian implications of events, giving viewers a deeper understanding of breaking news.

Within the new ecosystem, Al Jazeera Arabic Channel will strengthen its role with in-depth news blocks designed to deepen viewers’ understanding, alongside regularly scheduled bulletins and news briefs. Its format will combine authoritative news storytelling with in-depth reporting and analysis. The channel will also introduce a new, professionally developed line-up of more than 30 programmes, including discussion and analysis shows, investigative documentaries and specialist magazine programmes.

Al Jazeera Mubasher will retain its identity as a channel that brings viewers events as they happen, providing a live, unmediated window onto the news directly from the field.
The new ecosystem will also integrate its television and digital offerings through Al Jazeera 360, which will become the main digital destination for audiences to watch all three channels live and quickly access programmes, digital content and interactive features.

Asef Hamidi, Managing Director of Al Jazeera Arabic Channel, said: “The new ecosystem is built around an integrated system for responding to breaking news and major developments, allowing the channels to act flexibly and in coordination. Al Jazeera Mubasher provides live coverage directly from the field, without an intermediary; Al Jazeera Now delivers open-ended coverage and continuous, moment-by-moment analysis; and Al Jazeera Arabic Channel presents events and their details in its scheduled news blocks and bulletins, using in-depth explanatory formats.”

Raed Fakih, Director of News, said: “For three decades, Al Jazeera has helped transform the way news is covered in the Arab world, making room on screen for voices, issues and perspectives that had not been given the space they deserved. Today, as we mark Al Jazeera’s 30th anniversary, we are building on that editorial legacy to broaden the scope of our coverage and give greater prominence to a wider range of events and viewpoints. We believe journalism’s value lies not only in reporting what happens, but also in asking difficult questions and seeking answers, bringing viewers to the heart of knowledge rather than leaving them at the limits of the news.”

Viewers can watch the new ecosystem of channels live on Al Jazeera 360, YouTube and via the following satellite frequencies:

• Es’hailSat (26° East) and Eutelsat 8 West B (8° West)
Al Jazeera: 1; Al Jazeera Now: 2; Al Jazeera Mubasher: 3
