Ibrahim Hamdan has been the Director of Programmes at Al Jazeera Channel (Arabic) since 2015 and has been involved in the supervision, planning and implementation of the channel's new development and programming schedule ever since.
Ibrahim has overseen the launch of more than 25 new programmes, producing hundred hours of television, discussion, documentary and investigative content that have influenced, won more than 50 prestigious international awards, and gained wide interaction in the media and politics. Some of the programmes have been translated to various languages and broadcasted on other Al Jazeera channels and platforms.
Ibrahim joined Al Jazeera Media Network in 2005 and was one of the founders of Al Jazeera Documentary, where he served as the head of the Channel's programmes department contributing to its launch and brand.
He ran the programming committee responsible for determining the general policies of the programme cycles, supervising the programmatic plan of the channel before and after its launch, as well as determining the general policies of broadcasting.
In 2008, Ibrahim moved to Al Jazeera Channel where he worked in the field of programme production and was a member of the Network's Programme Committee, which oversees the coordination and production mechanisms between the Network's channels.
