Emir Delić is a presenter, editor and producer of the daily news bulletin and producer of sports talk-shows and weekly magazines on Al Jazeera Balkans. Emir is a journalist with over 20 years of experience in journalism, including newspapers “Dnevni avaz”, “Dani”, “San”, and Bosnian TV channel “Hayat”.
Emir came to Al Jazeera Balkans in November 2011 from “Hayat”, where he was engaged as a football and basketball correspondent, covering major events. Emir’s other sport highlights as a journalist include covering regional football leagues (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian…), as well as the basketball ABA league, and the handball SEHA league. As a Sports Correspondent, Emir covered many of the major sporting events in world, including the 2004 Football Euro in Portugal, the 2005 basketball European championship in Serbia and Montenegro, the 2013 European basketball Championships in Slovenia, and 2015 in Croatia, 2015 World Men's Handball Championship in Qatar, football Euro championship 2016 in France, 2018 football World cup in Russia, and football Euro 2021.
