Hanan Nanić has been working for Al Jazeera Balkans since 2018. As of December 2022, she is a producer for the current affairs department, producing and hosting studio shows, interviews and field stories. Prior to that, she worked as an assistant producer in the fast-paced news department – creating breaking news on global politics, which entailed research, writing, procurement and editing of video and graphic material.
Based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hanan has collaborated with Al Jazeera Balkans’ Documentary Film Festival AJB DOC since 2021 as a moderator of Q&A sessions and discussion panels with international filmmakers. She holds two master’s degrees – MA in International Relations from Utrecht University in Netherlands and MA in Political Science from University of Zagreb in Croatia.
Prior to joining Al Jazeera, she worked as a newspaper editor and journalist in Croatia, taught and adjudicated high school and university debates and also worked on a security education project in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
