Jakov Avram came to Al Jazeera Balkans few months before its official launch in 2011. He is very proud to be a part of the crew who started this successful story. From the beginning, Jakov's main role was to work with a small team of business producers on a project that later became one of the flagships of Al Jazeera Balkans: launching the business segment in the News and weekly magazine, “Al Jazeera Business”. “Al Jazeera Business” is still the most relevant regional television show dedicated entirely to economic news, business and technology trends.
As a member of Current Affairs, Jakov had the opportunity to participate as an author and presenter in many of the other important projects: “Talk to Al Jazeera”, “Inside Story”, and “Objektiv”.
Prior to Al Jazeera, Jakov worked as a producer, presenter and editor at a public broadcaster since 2004. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo.
