Tomislav Cvitković joined Al Jazeera Balkans in 2015 and since, he has been a sports reporter, presenter and producer. Tomislav covers all major sporting events live in Croatia, Slovenia and beyond. Conducts one-on-one interviews with stars from the region, such as Tina Maze, Peter Prevc, Jakov Fak, Filip Zubčić, Valent & Martin Sinković on “Oni pobjeđuju” (Champions), a 25-minute show. Tomislav periodically hosts and edits the weekly “Tribina” (Tribune), a 25-minute talk-show with athletes and sport experts from the region, exploring current and relevant topics.
From 1993 to 2009, Tomislav was a member of the Sports Department of Croatian National Television, reported from six Olympic Games, three football World Cups, two football EUROs and a series of World/European Championships in basketball, skiing, athletics and handball.
Tomislav won the “TV Sports Journalist of the Year” twice (1998, 2003). Tomislav had more than five and a half years of experience in PR/communications and marketing with Red Bull Adria and Profil Knjiga. With all the experience in sports journalism, Tomislav started his career as a radio reporter in 1992.
