Jelena Milutinović has been working at Al Jazeera Balkans in the Belgrade office since 2012. As a correspondent from Serbia, Jelena has been following all the current topics, with a particular focus on ecology and science. In 2018, Jelena received a recognition award for responsible reporting and raising awareness on the importance of respect to human rights in the media, which was awarded by the Human Rights and Democracy House in Belgrade. The local radio station B2 in the town of Bor was where Jelena had her first contact with journalism and where she produced youth shows. Later in her career, Jelena advanced her journalistic experience at the TV channel B92, where she worked from 2003 to 2012 on various news, morning and afternoon TV programmes, ecology and scientific shows. Jelena holds a degree in Journalism and Communication.
