Mohamed Ghazi Kannas is a Syrian journalist and television producer, graduated with a media degree from the University of Damascus in 2008, earned a master's degree in political science from the Arab Academy in Denmark in 2019, and obtained a degree in history from Mardin University in Turkiye in 2023.
Mohamed joined Al Jazeera Media Network as a producer for Al Jazeera Arabic Channel's coverage of military operations and displacement in Syria between 2014 and 2025.
He served as the editorial supervisor for the Syria office for the Al Jazeera Arabic website from 2015 to 2017.
Mohamed worked as the editorial supervisor for the Syria office at Al Jazeera Arabic Channel for seven years (2017–2025), before being appointed the bureau chief of the Damascus office in June 2025.
