Joanna Gasiorowska has been a senior sports presenter, reporter and producer at Al Jazeera English since its launch in 2006. She presents live sports bulletins and interviews sports guests on the Channel’s flagship “Newshour”. Joanna is also an experienced reporter and has covered both the Olympics and the Winter Olympics, the 2012 European football championships in Poland, gulf’s Ryder Cup, Diamond League athletics as well as the FIFA World Cup qualifiers across the Middle East and Africa.
Throughout her career, Joanna has covered major sports stories including – the FIFA corruption scandal, Russian doping revelations, and FIFA’s awarding of the World Cup to Russia and Qatar. Previously, Joanna worked for ITN and Sky Sports in London where she was born, gained a degree in journalism and psychology from City University, London.
