Everton Fox is the head of weather on the Al Jazeera English Channel having joined Al Jazeera Media Network in 2007 as a senior meteorologist. His role is to broadcast international weather to our audiences across the world. The team which is based in Qatar are also responsible for updating our social media output. Everton has attended a number of climate change conferences, including COP 22 in Marrakech in Morocco.
Prior to joining Al Jazeera, Everton was based in the UK, where he was born. He currently has more than 30 years experience working in weather having joined the UK Meteorological Office in 1991 working at a number of military bases and weather stations before becoming the BBC’s first black weather presenter in 2000. He worked there for seven years, broadcasting on TV and radio before moving to Qatar where he has been based ever since.
