Farrah Esmail started her career in Canada, working for both national broadcasters the CBC and CTV. Since making the leap to Al Jazeera, one of the biggest highlights has been tracing her family’s roots back to Africa in the documentary “Return to Uganda”. Farrah says the best part of living and working in Doha has been meeting incredible journalists from every corner of the globe. She loves being part of a multi-national team covering breaking news and major stories from parts of the world other networks may ignore. She holds a Bachelor’s degree as well a Master’s in International Journalism from City University in London, England.
