Richard Gizbert is the creator and host of 'The Listening Post', which critically examines media coverage of global geo-politics.
Richard has more than 40 years experience in journalism, starting in local news in Canada before moving onto national politics for CJOH-TV in Ottawa and CFTO-TV in Toronto.
He then spent 11 years as a London correspondent for ABC News (US), reporting from dozens of countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, North and South America. That included war zone coverage in the former Yugoslavia, Chechnya, Rwanda, and Somalia.
Having witnessed that from the inside, Gizbert then created 'The Listening Post', which provides viewers with a compass to guide them through a media world of competing narratives and misinformation.
