Sami currently works as a news and programmes presenter with Al Jazeera English Channel. He anchors the daily news shows, the in-depth discussion show “Inside Story” and the Channel’s one-on-one interview show “Talk to Al Jazeera”. Sami also hosts "Essential Middle East" podcast, the only podcast dedicated to the region's current affairs. He has presented, reported, and produced with the biggest names in television including Al Jazeera, CNN, CNBC, and NBC affiliates. His assignments have taken him from the White House to the UN, and through war zones from Gaza to Syria. Over the years, Sami has sat down with many key global figures and legends ranging from Nelson Mandela to Hugo Chavez.
Sami has taught at the first school of journalism in the world, at the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA, established in 1908.
