Robin Matheson joined Al Jazeera English in January 2012 as an output producer. A year later he flew to New York as part of a team who spent six months launching Al Jazeera America. He presented pilot shows and helped develop workflows.
Upon returning to Doha, he began presenting regularly for Al Jazeera English and was promoted to senior producer. He has been presenting full-time for the Channel, since April 2020.
Robin has reported from Mauritania, the UK, China, and the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq, as well as have been deployed several times to Iraq, Gaza, Israel, Oman, and Lebanon. He had covered politics, crises, and conflict, victories and catastrophes.
Before Al Jazeera English, he was a presenter and reporter for BBC TV and Radio in Scotland.
