High definition launch of Al Jazeera English on Sky platform in UK and Ireland
Al Jazeera English HD is available to all Sky TV HD customers from November 4th 2016.
Al Jazeera Media Network has announced the launch of Al Jazeera English HD across the UK on the Sky platform. The Sky EPG position will remain unchanged with Al Jazeera English HD at 514.
The HD channel launch coincides with the 10th Anniversary celebrations of the Al Jazeera English Channel which transmits from broadcast centres in Doha, Qatar and The Shard in London, as well as more than 70 news bureaus around the world. In the UK, Al Jazeera English HD is now available on both Sky and Freeview platforms, and the standard definition channel is carried on Virgin Media, Freesat and the Sky EPG.
