Anna Burns-Francis is a presenter at Al Jazeera English, where she presents daily news coverage and programmes including the in-depth discussion show “Inside Story”. She also launched “This is America”.
With more than a decade of experience covering major global events, Anna has interviewed world leaders and reported from the scene of hurricanes, earthquakes and tsunamis, as well as the 2019 Christchurch mosque attacks and the 2021 U.S. Capitol attack.
Previously, as U.S. Correspondent for TVNZ, Anna travelled extensively across the United States, providing in-depth analysis of foreign policy, politics and elections. Her reporting has also featured on CNN, ABC News and the BBC. Earlier in her career, she worked as an investigative current affairs reporter across radio, print and television, with her work broadcast throughout the Pacific region.
