Award-winning journalist Sohail (So) Rahman is a senior news presenter and correspondent for Al Jazeera English. Sohail has been working in broadcast television for over thirty years at some of the top networks in the world, including ITV Granada, ITV Network News, BBC, Channel 4 in the UK and CNN. Sohail is one of the original on-screen line up that launched Al Jazeera English in 2005 and has worked across South Asia and Asia Pacific covering natural disasters, general elections and day-to-day news coverage from Baku to New Delhi from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo and beyond. In 2003, he won the UK’s Royal Television Society’s prestigious Best Television Presenter Award for ITV.
In 2015 Sohail was nominated for a USA International TV Emmy for his Al Jazeera coverage of The Nepal Earthquake - "Nepal in Ruins”.
